What should the product information file be like?
The Price Tracking Service will automatically retrieve each store's product information nightly. The store's www-pages must include a text-only file, listing all products and price the store offers for sale. File does not need to be visible for normal visitors. Price information, postage and packing and delivery times listed must be the same that are shown to customers. The prices must include VAT.
It is utmost important that the price list is in pure ascii-format, without any html code.
Product file format
The product file must list information on one product per line. Data fields on each line must be in the same order, separated by a semi-colon. The first line should include a description for each field.
The product file must include at least the following data fields:
| PRODUCT NAME | Name of the product, as informative as possible (e.g. names for games should include which platform they are made for, movies should state the format DVD or Blu-ray etc), note that no two products can share exactly the same name, maximum lenght 512 characters. |

| PRICE | Price of the product including VAT, stated as euros, cents. |
| DIRECT_LINK | Link to the exact location of the product on your store's www-page. If no direct link is given, all clicks are directed to your store's main page, maximum lenght 512 characters. |
| PRODUCER_PRODUCT_CODE | Product code defined by the producer. |
| PRODUCER_NAME | Name of the producer of the product (needed for reliable use of the producers product code). |
| POSTAGE_AND_PACKING | Charges the customer has to pay to receive an order through cheapest means of delivery to Finland, stated as euros, cents.. |
| DELIVERY_TIME | Amount of time from placing the order until the product can be picked up or
arrive in the mail, stated in days. Delivery times will be shown in the Price
Tracking Service as shown in the price list, maximum lenght 30 characters.
If a product has not yet been released, you can mark the product as Pre-Order (Ennakkotilaus). When using the term Ennakkotilaus, you can also give a date for the release. Use dd.mm.yy for the date, e.g. 01.02.10. Example of the whole field thus: Ennakkotilaus 01.02.10. |
| EAN-CODE | International serial number used in bar codes. |
| CATEGORY | Name of the product category (e.g. MP3, network adapter). Giving a category might accelerate the bringing forward of your product. |
Options for additional information
You can also use e.g. the following fields to add information on your products. Some fields are informative for the customers, others facilitate and accelerate the forward bringing of your products in the Price Tracking Service.
| STORE_PRODUCT_CODE | Individual product code used by your store. Note that no two products can share a product code. Nor can store product codes be recycled, i.e. a store product code that has been used once cannot be re-used for another product. |

| PRODUCT_PICTURE_URL | A picture of the product to be used in the Price Tracking Service. |
| DESCRIPTION | A short description of the product that can be used in the Price Tracking Service, maximum lenght 1 024 characters. |
| PRODUCER_HOMEPAGE | Internet address for the producer, e.g. https://www.nokia.com. |
| PRODUCER_PRODUCT_PAGE | A link the the product page on the producer's homepages, e.g. https://www.nokia.com/fi_fi/phones/nokia-8. |
| GUARANTEE | Length for guarantee (e.g. 1 year, 3 years, lifelong). |
| PRICE_TRACKING_ID | Another means for accelerating the bringing forward of your product is to use the ID given by Price Tracking Service. E.g. Nokia 5320 XpressMusic has a Price_Tracking_ID 164419. |
| ADDITIONAL_INFO | You can add other details of the product, e.g. colour, weight or system requirements, maximum lenght 1 024 characters. |
